we sure havent had many rainy days this summer. A storm just blew in..the sunflowers are dancing, the giant trees that I can see beyond the roof of the apt.bldg. across from me, are swaying, swaying, in a hypnotic dance that could easily keep me from work at the sewing machine. The clouds that have flown in rapidly are swirly and dark gray, no doubt causing the lapses in reception on my tv set. Not having cable is a real hassle and I think it must be a government plot..."they" want us all to be on cable...but we poor folks cant afford that...at least this po' girl cant. So much of cable is old, old, old reruns and old sit. coms. Boring. I think the cable companies need to offer X amount of channels, and YOU get to pick the cha nnels you want. Im sure the technology has been there for years to do that--so why dont they?
I would pick the history channel, maybe ONE disney channel, sci-fi (syfy--that's stupid), Bravo, Animal Planet, maybe a movie channel and MSNBC. Oh well, I s uppose you will never be ab le to pick your channels. I would NEVER pick those stupid shopping channels...those things are addictive, even if you dont want anything!
